Valuing Digital Knowledge Assets showcases at AutoDesk University (AU) Vegas

Following a successful showcase at AutoDesk University London, Dr. Gopsill has followed up by exhibiting his research on Knowledge Networks, Competency Mapping and Valuing Digital Knowledge Assets, which has all been part of the RCUK's Researcher in Residence award with the National Composites Centre (NCC) at AutoDesk University Las Vegas. This is the largest AutoDesk event with over 12,000 attendees.

The conference featured top engineering data management companies in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Building Information Modelling (BIM). All were interested in how they could leverage the continually growing resource of data and information within their systems.

As industry continue to move to cloud-based data management environments (e.g. BIM360), opportunities in providing real-time competencies, knowledge and skills assessments of large infrastructure projects can become a reality. With this on the horizon, Dr. Gopsill is looking at how his novel techniques of competency and knowledge assessment can take advantage of this.

A fantastic event with great people and great insights!
